Minutes from the August 10th, 2007 meeting
Held at 7pm at Steve & Katy Brown's house (6045 Round Tower Lane).
Present: Steve & Katy Brown, Tim Moynihan, Anthony Trippe
Agenda Items
Treasurer's Report (detailing our balance with a bank statement, bills paid and bills still needing paid/recurring bills)
Kim was not present but emailed a spreadsheet with the following numbers: The association has $6,154 in our account (including $200 collected for 2007-2008 dues). No additional reoccuring issues and all bills are paid. Since the boards did not get out for the meeting, Tony is going to ask Kim if she wants Steve or him to take over the job of getting these out.
Next Steps: Tony will contact Kim about Craig and boards.
Katy spoke to someone with the City and they told her that we needed to maintain three signs and if we wanted one to be stone then all three would have to be stone. Katy volunteered to continue looking at options and put together a story for the next newsletter.
Next Steps: Katy Brown will put together a story for the newsletter covering the developments of late.
Winter and Spring Social Events
Thus far it looks like we have 10 families committed to attending the block party. Since most of them are from the lower end of Round Tower we decided to move the block party to the green space behind Round Tower. We also decided not to do a deck hop but to plan pumpkin carving and X-mas lights contests for later this year.
Next Steps: Tony will add dates to newsletter, Social Committee will plan the events. Steve will notify the people who already signed up for the block party that we decided to move the event.
2007/2008 Dues Notice & Next Newsletter
We decided to separate these items and get the dues notice out ASAP. Tony will make the notice and get it over to Steve for distribution before 8/17. Katy and Steve volunteered to write articles on lawn maintenance, the block party and the effort to get new signs for the newsletter while Tony will write the rest and lay it out.
Next Steps: Create new dues notice and distribute. Begin putting together next newsletter for end of September at the latest.
An incident involving kids found in an open garage and the spray painting of a speed limit sign were discussed.
Next Steps: Vandalism will be discussed again in the next newsletter.
The next meeting will be held on November 9th at 7pm at Tim and Carol's house (tentatively).
Next Steps: Tim will check with Carol to make sure this is okay.
