New Mailboxes
Tim Moynihan sent the following:
That price and part number includes a stain and black number son one side.
The price includes a 35% discount ( same as what the builders get ) and the only extra would be a charge of $27.50 to remove the old mailbox ( that is well worth it )
We could put an ad or notice to all members that if they want to replace their old mailbox than Oct. is new mailbox month and the complete package would be under $200.00.
Tony: I think this is a great idea and something we should pursue. Tim and I will talk about this soon.
Dan Hackett submitted the following:
Our neighbor recently had a new mailbox installed. The company that did it is:
Cedar Craft Products
P.O. Box 9
Blacklick, OH 43004
PH: 614-759-1600
Fax: 614-759-1418
www.cedar-craft.com
They charge $150 for item and installation. No staining or address numbers included in this price.
Item number: 4SFM52K1B (and/or) CM05 & CP02
| Tony: I will send this along to Tim and ask him to contact this company about a bulk discount for the neighborhood |
It was suggested that the neighboorhood could get a discounted rate on mail boxes if a number of us bought them at the same time.
Tim Moyinhan contacted the City of Dublin to enquire about whether they provided a bulk rate for purchasing mailboxes. He received the following response from the city on June 27th:
Dear Mr. Moynihan,
I received your email regarding mailboxes. The City of Dublin does not sell
mailboxes. In fact, when we need to replace mailboxes damaged by city staff
(as in snowplowing), we purchase those mailboxes from the same vendors
everyone else does. Sorry I could not be of more help.
Thanks,
Ron

Tim intends to contact the city again about where they purchase mail boxes themselves and will approach the vendor directly.
